Davies return boosts Shrews

Shrewsbury Town manager Gary Peters has been handed a boost by the news that Ben Davies has returned to training.

The 26-year-old midfielder has not played for the first team since the League Two play-off semi-final victory against MK Dons.

Davies has been sidelined since rupturing his Achilles tendon in the May victory against the Dons.

He has scored 12 goals in 51 games for the Shrews since joining the club from Chester City in the summer of 2006.
