Turner: We didn't work hard enough

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner admitted his side failed to turn up following their thrashing at Torquay. Jake Robinson scored twice against his parent club as they thrashed Shrewsbury 5-0. Gavin Tomlin set the ball rolling with a debut strike, and after Jermaine Grandison was sent-off for the Shrews, Robinson bagged a brace. Chris Zebroski got a fourth before Shrewsbury skipper Ian Sharps appeared to get the last touch to a Craig Stanley cross-cum-shot late on. Turner said: "If anything was going to go wrong it was going to go wrong in this game. You can`t disguise a poor performance. The work wasn't there. "We`ve just had a discussion and the first thing was that we didn't work hard enough. We just didn't press Torquay and they showed their work, their enthusiasm. "Sometimes you can get a positive result from such a poor performance. We`ve got to get over this one. We`ve lost the game and been poor, it doesn't matter who has scored."
