Manager Graham Turner has warned his table-topping Shrewsbury side to expect a tougher battle for points as opposing teams wise up to their threat.
Shrews, under the guidance of their new boss, have won four and drawn one of their opening five matches to sit pretty at the summit of League Two.
But Town are now there to be shot at and represent a major scalp for their rivals, while Turner is also aware that his side may now have to work harder to break down stubborn opposition.
"It's nice to be top of the league but it might bring a bit of extra pressure," he told the Shropshire Star.
"I think most sides raise their game against the so-called better teams so we might find sides are a bit tighter against us and therefore it might be a little bit more difficult for us."
