Turner upbeat despite defeat

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner felt his side were slightly unfortunate to come away from Gigg Lane with nothing after promotion rivals Bury recorded a 1-0 win. Ryan Lowe grabbed the only goal of the game at Gigg Lane to lift the Shakers above their opponents in the npower League Two table. "We were too rigid first half and were penned back," he said. "But we reverted to 4-4-2 and were more aggressive in the second half. We found our energy again and had a real go. "We found the ability to pass the ball and that's what we've been lacking recently. We might have got something out of it but we didn't. "You look at the run we've had and it's a difficult period for us, there's no doubt about that. But you have to try to keep the confidence high. We won't accept our performance against Oxford (last Tuesday, when they lost 3-1) but what we will accept is having a go like we did in the second half here. "It wasn't perfect, it wasn't brilliant play, but there were signs that we can pass the ball and that's what the players have to believe to start getting back to that level."
