Turner seeking further additions

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner is still in the market for more new signings following the recent arrivals of Matt Harrold and Mark Wright. Harrold, who was released by Wycombe, recently joined the club on a two-year deal, while Wright arrived on a six-month loan deal from Bristol Rovers. "The additions are coming in gradually and with Mark Wright and Matt Harrold we are beginning to assemble the squad I think will be good enough to put us in contention," manager Graham Turner told the club's official website. "I still think we need two or three more players and the work on that will continue." But Turner has decided not to pursue his interest in on-trial midfielder Paul Emslie, adding: "We had a young lad from Glasgow Rangers Paul Emslie but we have decided not to offer him a contract. "He's gone back up to Scotland and I think he's got something lined up once he gets back. He did okay and is a nice neat player but I decided not to offer him anything. I wish him well and think he will do well."
