Turner pleased with win
Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner expressed his delight following the 5-1 win over minnows Ilfracombe Town on Monday.
Town looked comfortable throughout in the opening fixture of the Joma South West Challenge Cup tournament in North Devon.
Turner was pleased with his team's performance as Shrewsbury moved one game closer to qualifying for Saturday's semi-finals.
"It was a good work-out for us," said 62-year-old Turner.
"I thought we worked very hard, passed the ball extremely well and created a number of good chances."
