Turner content with Shrews squad

Graham Turner is happy with the physical and mental state of his Shrewsbury squad as they prepare for the play-offs. It is not uncommon to see glimpses of tiredness after a 46-match season, signs of nerves as it all comes down to two - hopefully three - edgy matches and, in Shrewsbury`s case, even disappointment after missing out on a top-three finish. But manager Turner said: "I think we look quite fresh, we look nice and sharp, plenty of enthusiasm for the battle ahead. I don't see any signs of players' heads dropping because of circumstances on Saturday (finishing outside the automatic promotion places). "Everybody seems buoyant and we`ll move on from here." Shrewsbury face Torquay in the first leg of their semi-final at Plainmoor on Saturday, with loanees Mat Sadler, Dave Davis and Niall Canavan all having been cleared to feature. And Turner added: "It's a 5.45pm kick-off which gives us one or two problems in terms of travel and training and everything else. Most of them who played on Saturday will have Monday off and we'll start again in preparation on Tuesday."
