Simpson: Shrews' positivity is key
Shrews invested heavily in the summer after a disappointing campaign last year in which they finished just five places above the drop zone.
Rotherham, Lincoln and Dagenham now stand between Town and a play-off place and Simpson knows a united club gives everyone a boost.
"Everybody has to pull together, there has to be a positive spirit among everyone," he told ShrewsWorld.
"We can only affect what we have in the changing room, we can only affect those players and to make sure they remain positive.
"Hopefully all the fans will have seen over the last few games that the spirit is there and the desire to be successful is there. Unfortunately we've not gone and finished the job.
"But we've got players in there who can win football matches, a lot of players. Now we need them to step up to the plate with three games to go, there's no hiding place, there's no waiting for the next game to come around, it's a case of now or we'll miss that opportunity."
