Simpson: Shrews must build on win

07 February 2010 11:09
The Shrews pieced together the best move of the match to score the decisive goal, Steven Leslie rounding off some excellent passing football with a 25-yard chip over Macclesfield keeper Jon Brain.[LNB]Simpson singled out the performance of midfielder Leslie and was delighted with his side's display, but admitted he has some tough choices to make when he picks the starting XI for Tuesday's home clash with Barnet.[LNB]"He (Leslie) has been unlucky not to get more of a run in the team but we've given him a two year contract because we know he's got something about him," Simpson said. "He's the fittest lad in the team and he has some special talent. Playing away from home seems to suit him.[LNB]"The formation we use gives him a little less responsibility and a bit more freedom and he used it well. It's going to be a difficult choice for me on Tuesday night but then I'm the manager.[LNB]"We rode our luck a little bit. We've got to build on this now. We are all disappointed with the result against Accrington but we will be looking for the same superb support we had today at home against Barnet."[LNB][LNB]
