Simpson: Shrews didn't do enough

Town, once promotion prospects, have only won twice in their last 13 league and cup games.[LNB]Simpson was critical of Grimsby's negative tactics but felt his side should have been able to break down the visitors.[LNB]"We didn't throw two points away because we didn't do enough to earn three points," he said. "It was a really scruffy, horrible game. (There was) no tempo to it and Grimsby have got what they set out to d from the first minute.[LNB]"They tried to stop the flow of the play, were successful, and got a point. We're all disappointed.[LNB]"We have to be more ruthless and clinical. We haven't tested their keeper enough. We all know this was a game everyone expected us to win. We were at home and Grimsby are second from bottom but we simply couldn't break them down."[LNB][LNB]
