Simpson lays down Shrews gauntlet
Several members of Simpson's squad will see their current deals expire at the end of the season but, with the club's reluctance to negotiate contracts at this moment in time, many are facing an uncertain future.[LNB]Simpson has already stressed the need for players to impress and stake their worth on the pitch, but he was less than impressed with the manner of their 1-0 defeat to struggling Bournemouth at the weekend.[LNB]"We've got a group of players there and most of them are playing to stay in professional football," said Simpson.[LNB]"There's a lot of players coming out of contract and I don't think they realise how close it is, or how easy it is, to fall by the wayside.[LNB]"Maybe it's time to start realising it and do something about it."[LNB][LNB]
