Simpson impressed by Shrews show

The Shrews ran riot at Valley Parade, picking up three points courtesy of goals from Terry Dunfield, Dave Hibbert and a hotly-disputed Kevin McIntyre penalty.[LNB]The Bantams were infuriated by the penalty decision and, subsequently, centre-back Matt Clarke's red card a minute later, but Simpson backed the officials' decision.[LNB]"I'm delighted with the performance," he said. "We knew we'd have to improve and have to come here with a determined attitude. I think the players have been magnificent, I really do. We've earned a result. It's incredible the amount of moaning going on from this main stand and the level of abuse we've had to take.[LNB]"I honestly thought the referee was right with his decisions. I didn't see him book Clarke for the first one, but I thought it was a foul on Steve Leslie, and I thought it was a foul on Dave Hibbert soon afterwards.[LNB]"People can maybe say we rode our luck, but anyone who saw the game at the Prostar, I think it's fair to say that Bradford City rode their luck that day and earned a 2-1 victory. We've got a huge victory at a really difficult place to come. It's the result we all wanted and needed and it makes it a lot better going into the next one."[LNB][LNB]
