Simpson hails more united Shrews

Jake Robinson opened the scoring after 22 minutes and second-half goals from Joss Labadie and Kelvin Langmead killed off the Cobblers.

"It was important to keep our run going," said Simpson after his side chalked up their third successive win.

"The first goal was very good, we defended for our lives and showed quality at set pieces.

"Some felt it was a crisis when we lost Grant Holt and Ben Davies. We lost 42 goals with them but now we're looking more of a unit with goals coming from all over the team."
