Simpson cannot defend Dale mauling
The Shrews put in a dismal display against the leaders, with Simpson branding the performance "absolute rubbish".[LNB]He said: "We would be clutching at straws to find a positive and it would be an insult to our supporters if we tried.[LNB]"We were poor and torn apart by a team who showed why they deserve to be top of the table."[LNB]Simpson also insists his side must up their game if they are have any chance of winning promotion this season.[LNB]He added: "I don't know whether it is a crossroads in our season but we do know we have to improve massively.
