Aaron will miss out

Aaron Wildig will miss Shrewsbury's home clash against Oldham as he waits to discover the extent of a knee injury.

The midfielder was stretchered off in the first half of Saturday's 1-0 win over Notts County having been on the end of a nasty challenge and it is feared he could be out for months rather than weeks due to suspected ligament damage.

However, Shrews will not know the seriousness of the injury until the swelling around Wildig's knee recedes and he can undergo a scan.

Town boss Graham Turner is already without winger Jon Taylor due to a knee problem.

Oldham will be without suspended defender Genseric Kusunga when they bid to make it four wins on the trot.

Lee Johnson's men were able to hang on for the final four minutes to secure a 1-0 win over Gillingham after Swiss centre-back Kusunga was given his marching orders for lashing out at Danny Kedwell.

Kusunga now serves a three-match suspension, joining banned striker Jordan Bove, who completes a three-game ban of his own, while Joseph Mills' three-month loan spell from Burnley has now ended so Johnson will be forced into at least two defensive alterations.

Striker Danny Philliskirk is expected to overcome a head injury but Latics will run the rule over winger Cristian Montano, who has been complaining of a knee injury.
