Shrews Wembley allocation upped

Around 6,500 tickets were snapped up by season ticket holders and Sovereign Club members before they went on general sale on Thursday morning via the internet and over the phone. That number then reached 10,000 and is expected to soar even higher when tickets go on general sale via the ticket office on Friday morning. Shrews were initially allocated 21,000 tickets for the Wembley final but that number has now increased to 24,000, with opponents Gillingham handed 38,000. Meanwhile, leading goalscorer Grant Holt is adamant he will be fit in time for the final on May 23 after being forced off midway through extra-time in the semi-final second leg against Bury on Sunday having taken a blow to his chest. Winger Chris Humphrey is the only other injury concern as he battles to overcome a hamstring strain.
