Shrews waiting on Harrold

Shrewsbury are hoping Matt Harrold again declares himself fit to face promotion contenders and local rivals Port Vale. The striker has been struggling with tonsilitis but stressed his determination to start Saturday`s 3-2 victory at Northampton, only to be forced off at half-time feeling exhausted. But Harrold is feeling better than he did going into the Sixfields clash and will be assessed prior to kick-off. Defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff missed training on Monday with a dead leg but manager Graham Turner expects him to be okay, but midfielder Sean McAllister again sits out of the clash as he recovers from his hernia operation. Ironically, Turner was a player for Shrews the last time the Shropshire club tasted league success over Vale way back in 1978.
