Shrews wait on Sharps

Graham Turner is hopeful skipper Ian Sharps will be fit for Shrewsbury`s trip to Accrington. The centre-back emerged from Saturday`s disappointing last-gasp 1-1 draw at Barnet nursing a dead leg but looks to be okay for the Crown Ground clash. Should he not make it however then Turner will turn to new loan signing Jermaine Grandison, who only made the bench on at the weekend having met up with his new Shrews team-mates for the first time on the coach travelling to Barnet. Having now had a couple of days to bed in, Turner has confirmed Grandison is definitely now competing for a first-team spot. The Town boss will have to decide whether midfielder Craig Disley can handle two games in four days after making his return from a lengthy hip problem on Saturday, but full-back David Raven (hip) is again set to miss out.
