Ashikodi was released by the Hornets last month and had been training with the League Two outfit for a few weeks before netting a brace for the reserves in Wednesday's 5-0 win over Sheffield United.[LNB]Manager Paul Simpson told the club's official website: "He's a player who we have had in to train a couple of weeks ago and the plan was then to have a look at him in the reserves but the game was postponed.[LNB]"He came in this week and played in the reserves on Wednesday and he did well and scored two goals. The goals weren't that important, it was more about the way he went about things, the positions he got into.[LNB]"Looking at him I thought he was just that bit different to the strikers that we already have here, he's someone who has a bit of pace about them and looks to get in behind.[LNB]"He's a good size and I've decided that it was a bit of a no brainer to get him in, he's not costing us a lot and he is a player who is desperate to get back into professional football after leaving Watford in January."[LNB][LNB]
