Shrews silence surprises Turner

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner was surprised by his players' modest reaction to a 2-0 win over Stockport that put them on the verge of the automatic promotion places. First-half goals from Tom Bradshaw and Nicky Wroe leave the Shrews in fourth place with four league games remaining. He said: "I've never known a dressing room so quiet after a victory. "You wouldn't think that we'd won. But it was the second-half performance that the players were disappointed with then somebody pointed out that it is still three points from a difficult game. "That's a good reaction from players at this stage of the season when nerves start to play a part as they did in the second half. It was also good to keep a clean sheet. More of those in the last four games will help. "There'll be twists and turns in the last few weeks of the season but let others worry about their own results, there were good results for us and we also have a strong squad for a big Easter weekend coming up."
