Shrews problems clearing up

Shrewsbury are likely to be close to full strength for the visit of Gillingham. Town have had to cope with their fair share of injury problems of late but the club's treatment room is finally starting to clear. Midfielder Sean McAllister continues to recover from his hernia operation, while young striker Tom Bradshaw is not yet ready to return from his ankle injury. But elsewhere there is promising news for manager Graham Turner. Forward Benjamin van den Broek (knee) and defender Kelvin Lomax (ligament) played the full 90 minutes of the reserves' goalless draw against Burnley on Wednesday. Striker Nathan Elder (knee) and defender Dave Raven (hip) also came off the bench to step up their recoveries by playing the final half-an-hour at the Greenhous Meadow. However, it remains to be seen how many of those on the verge of making comebacks are involved against Gills as Shrews end an enforced two-week break following last week's postponement at Rotherham.
