Shrews chief makes supporter plea

Tension is mounting at the Prostar Stadium as Shrews, winless in three games without scoring, have started to slip at the wrong time and enter the home straight three points behind the play-off places in 10th.[LNB]But Sayfritz has called for fans to pull together, telling Town's official website: "I was looking at some stats the other day and if we win on Saturday against Darlington that would put us in the same points position as we had last season when we went through the play-offs and got to Wembley.[LNB]"So we are in a very good position and I'm making a plea for all our fans to get behind Paul (Simpson), the management team and the players because who knows what we can still achieve between now and the end of the season.[LNB]"I've got to say particularly at home we probably haven't had the feel-good factor that we had last season and one man doesn't make a team, but some of the stuff Grant (Holt) did was tremendous.[LNB]"Having said that, we're still very close to where we were this time last season."[LNB][LNB]
