Shrews boss wary of tough start

The Shrews will be looking to gain automatic promotion this time around after losing the play-off final to Gillingham last term, but it will not be easy as back-to-back away clashes with Barnet and Dagenham follow on August 15 and 18. "The fixtures have handed us a tough start with a number of away trips but I am delighted that we start the season at home," Simpson told the club's official website. "To be paired with Burton Albion is a great game to start with but could be a tricky one as they will still be on a high after promotion. "What we need to do is try and get a good pre-season under our belts to put us in the best position to start the season well. "There won't be any easy games over the season and it is up to us to show that we can improve on our form from last season."
