Shrews boss seeks home comforts

Shrews welcomed Football League newcomers Burton to the Prostar on the opening day before successive trips on the road, a home clash against Chesterfield and then another trip to Accrington. But as the Shropshire outfit prepare to welcome Bradford this Saturday and then Crewe next weekend, Simpson has one clear message for everybody concerned. "It's the first opportunity this season to get two consecutive home league games and we've got to make it count," he told ShrewsPlayer. "I was delighted to get the first game of the season at home but then I was a little bit envious of everybody else having the two home fixtures after that. "Last year we built our record on having very strong home form, we have to make sure we do that again and obviously improve our away form. Now we've had a couple of good away performances and we need to keep building on that."
