The play-off-chasing Shrews had lost their last three away games on the spin, denting their promotion hopes, and Simpson admitted he was glad to have simply secured a point at the Recreation Ground.[LNB]He said: "We had to make sure we did not lose. We wanted to get back to being solid, I thought we defended very well and the clean sheet was a bonus.[LNB]"Aldershot are a good side and it was not easy. But we have to start getting results and a point here is a beginning."[LNB]"We got the ball wide into good areas but we lacked that quality in the final third. We could have pushed on but we did not want to take too many chances and get caught out. We wanted to make sure we stayed solid.[LNB]"We have some really tough games coming up and this is something we can build on," added the former Preston boss.[LNB][LNB]
