Shrews boss hails Town striker

Hibbert charged down goalkeeper Scott Brown's attempted clearance to level the match in the 72nd minute after veteran striker Barry Hayles had fired Cheltenham into the lead after an hour. "We worked extremely hard and Dave Hibbert's goal wasn't the prettiest of the season, but he got it because he has continued to work hard," Simpson said. "He closed their keeper down and 99 times out of 100 you know it's a wasted run, but that was the one when it goes in off his backside and I am delighted." Simpson's side were second best for long periods, but he was delighted to see them continue their fine run of form. He said: "We showed some character. We were under the cosh at the end and I have never seen so many big players in our box than they had in there at the end. "We have got a big result and I don't really care if anyone thinks we don't deserve it."
