Shrews boss hails Leslie impact

Local lad Leslie's stunning strike at Macclesfield last weekend earned Shrewsbury all three points and he was on hand again with a scorching shot, which flew in off the underside of the bar after 28 minutes.[LNB]Shrewsbury had already opened up a one-goal advantage when Craig Disley netted his first goal for the club after 11 minutes with a glancing header from Lewis Neal's cross.[LNB]"It was a fantastic finish," said Simpson. "I have to say I didn't think it had gone in because he hit it that hard. I thought he had hit it over the bar so I was delighted to hear somebody celebrate because I hadn't got a clue where it had gone.[LNB]"We've been saying, probably for all the time I've been at the club, that Steve's got that in his locker and he's capable of doing that sort of thing. I don't expect it every week but we've had it two games running now so hopefully he can keep it going."[LNB]Simpson added: "It was a professional performance. We got put under pressure second half, we accept that, but it's a good win for us because even though they've been on a bad run Barnet showed at the start of the season they're a good side."[LNB][LNB]
