Shrews boss faces selection poser

Summer signing Lewis Neal will miss out having been sidelined for between four to six weeks with an ankle injury sustained in Shrews' final pre-season encounter at Tranmere last weekend. Fellow midfielder Steve Leslie is suspended due to the red card he picked up during last season's play-off semi-final second leg at Bury, while influential defender Mike Jackson has been recovering from a long-term knee problem and isn't expected to feature in Saturday's League Two clash. Despite Grant Holt's departure, the recent arrivals of strikers Nathan Elder and Kris Bright mean Town could employ a brand new strikeforce at the Prostar Stadium. There is certain to be competition for places throughout Town's starting XI as Simpson looks to bed in suitable long-term replacements to cover the loss of Ben Davies and Chris Humphrey.
