Simpson had been on the lookout for a striker to partner Holt up front for the Shrews but, following the former Nottingham Forest man's shock departure, Simpson has been forced to cast his net even wider. The Shrews boss told BBC Radio Shropshire: "We are making moves on a number of players. "There is some decent strikers out there, which is what I am looking to bring in." Town have won just one pre-season match so far against Northwich while tasting defeat against Telford, West Brom and Leicester but Simpson also assured fans he is not worried by the poor start. He added: "The big thing is that we are right for the game against Burton Albion. I see the players everyday and I know what they are capable of."
