The 22-year-old New Zealand international trained with Shrews late last week before playing a part in the club's 1-1 pre-season draw against Tranmere on Saturday. Simpson opened talks over the weekend and, after completing a medical on Monday, Bright has penned a permanent deal with the League Two outfit. He arrives at the Prostar Stadium having already played in his homeland, Holland, Norway and most recently Greece. The new arrival told the club's official website: "I'm really happy to be here and with the gaffer as part of his plans for the season ahead. I think it will be a good opportunity to come to Shrewsbury. "Shrewsbury is a big club and I'm looking forward to the challenge of helping us go up to League One." Bright, who has arrived at the club just hours after the loan signing of West Brom midfielder Joss Labadie, will be a welcome addition to Town's ranks following the recent departure of Grant Holt.
