Sadler has something to prove

New Shrewsbury recruit Mat Sadler is planning to use his stint at the club to get his career back on track. The 25-year-old left-back, who has joined on a six-month loan deal from Watford, has played Premier League and Championship football with Birmingham and the Hornets but is currently out of favour at Vicarage Road. With first-team football hard to come by Sadler jumped at the chance to prove himself with the Shrews and is looking to play his part in a promotion push. He told the club's official website: "When I heard about it I felt it was a good opportunity to come to the club, play and to prove myself. With the move being six months it allowed me to be at home and gave me some stability. "It's now up to me to give it absolutely everything I have every day to prove myself and show things I have lacked recently. "I believe there are a couple of more new faces coming in soon so things are looking really good at the club for a fantastic promotion challenge this season and I'm looking forward to playing my part in that."
