Robinson explains revival

Jake Robinson says it is difficult to pin-point one single factor behind his turnaround in form this season and puts the revival down to a number of changes both personally and at Shrewsbury. The striker, who turns 24 later this month, is far and away Town`s top scorer with eight goals so far this term in 12 starts - twice as many as he managed in the whole of last season when he played somewhat of a bit-part role. Robinson`s transformation has helped Shrews fill the void left by Dave Hibbert`s departure, and the Brighton-born forward points to the wake-up call he received last season, the managerial change at the club and a personally rigorous pre-season for his upturn, among various other reasons. "I can`t put my finger on one thing. It`s been a number of things," he told Shrews Player. "I`m more settled now, it sometimes takes a little while to get used to a new club and a new area so that`s helped. "And I think we`ve got some fantastic players this year which is obviously helping team performance - that brings on better individual performances. "And I`ve been kind of looking after myself a bit better, I`ve been making little changes in my own personal life away from football that are helping, just things like my food and how I`m living at home. Just little changes that all come together as one. It`s making a big difference in my life."
