The 22 year-old became the Shrews' second signing of the summer on Tuesday when he penned a two-year deal after being released by Brighton. And Robinson told Shrewsbury's official website that a loan move from the Seagulls to the Prostar Stadium was in place in January. He said: "In the January window I was called by Paul Simpson who said he was looking to take me on loan as I would possibly work well up front with Grant Holt. "Unfortunately that didn't work out as there was something that couldn't be agreed which was a shame as I really fancied the idea of a move and everything seemed to be sorted at my end. "It's nice to be wanted and the fact that Paul Simpson called me first and told me how much he admired me as a player was a big help."
