Notts County have completed their seventh signing of the summer with the addition of former Yeovil striker Luke Rodgers on a two-year contract. The 27-year-old, who is a free agent, scored four goals in two matches on the Magpies' pre-season tour of Austria.
Manager Ian McParland said: "Luke came with us to Austria and certainly made an impression.
"He trained superbly and we could not argue with his goals return from the two matches we played."
Rodgers began his career with Shrewsbury Town and bagged 73 goals in just under 200 appearances.
He moved on to Crewe in 2005 and then Port Vale in 2007, before joining League One Yeovil Town last November.
McParland added: "His all-round game is also something I like. He is a tough character with a bit of fire in his belly and he's not scared to get in people's faces and make a nuisance of himself.
"Luke adds another dimension to our attacking options and I'm looking forward to working with him.
"I still want to bring in another striker and we're working hard behind the scenes to make that happen."
