Town currently lie 10th in League Two, three points outside the top seven and eight adrift of the automatic promotion places, while their form of late has been more than disappointing with just two wins in their last 14 games.[LNB]Simpson has seen his relatively small squad hit by injuries throughout the campaign but, despite not being able to bring in fresh faces, he knows he has enough quality within his ranks to be in the mix come May and wants to see his players start to prove it.[LNB]"We're at the limit with our budget, we can't do any more," he told the club's official website. "We're no different to anybody else. That's not a moan at the football club, we're in a very fortunate position as we've got a very, very stable club.[LNB]"We've got a chairman who has backed this club for years and even more so in the last couple of years. And although we had to sell Grant Holt in the summer and lost another important player, we're not in a position where we can suddenly go out and start flashing the chequebook about.[LNB]"We are in a recession like everybody else in this world and we have to deal with it. I have players under contract and those players have all got ability and they need to start showing it, that's the challenge that's been sent out to them now."[LNB][LNB]
