19 January 2009 11:28
Midfielder McIntyre sustained a knock in the first half at Vale Park before being helped from the pitch after the interval. The League Two club initially suspected it to be a calf problem but it has turned out to be much worse.[LNB]He will now see a specialist to receive a complete assessment of the injury as the club refuse to speculate as to how long he will be ruled out.[LNB]Manager Paul Simpson told Shrews' official website: "It's a big blow for Kevin and for us as he's being doing really well recently.[LNB]"We will have a better idea of the long-term prognosis once we've seen the specialist and will have a better understanding of how it will affect us."[LNB][LNB]
