The on-loan midfielder, who has been in a rich vein of scoring form of late with four goals in his last five games, was given his marching orders during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Morecambe having been shown a second yellow card. He will now serve a one-match suspension. Defender Dean Holden and midfielder Paul Murray are also likely to sit out as they rest minor knocks, with Simpson also keen to utilise his squad due to other bumps and bruises among his ranks. Goalkeeper Chris Neal is back in training following his groin injury although he is still short of match practice due to his lengthy lay-off. Fellow stopper Glyn Garner (shoulder) remains sidelined. Defender Mike Jackson (bone bruising), midfielders Craig Disley (knee) and Terry Dunfield (shoulder) and striker Omer Riza (ankle) are all still out.
