Hyde nets brace in Bees draw

The visitors got off to a flying start as Barnet failed to pick up Nathan Elder who nodded in Paul Murray's free-kick after just two minutes. But the Bees should have levelled after 25 minutes when Craig Disley tripped Albert Adomah in the area, only for Shrewsbury goalkeeper Chris Neal to save Paul Furlong's penalty. However Barnet were not to be denied and they were level on the half-hour when Hyde headed home from Adomah's cross. And they took the lead on the stroke of half-time thanks to another penalty after Dean Holden hauled down Hyde, who dusted himself down to slam home from 12 yards. The second half started similarly to the first, with Shrewsbury finding the net from a set piece. This time it was Dave Hibbert heading in Shane Cansdell-Sherriff's corner after 55 minutes to score his third of the season and seal a point for the Shrews.
