Hibbert silences Shrews doubters

Dave Hibbert has quashed fears over his future at Shrewsbury by hitting six goals in Town's opening eight games. The striker missed much of last season and also Shrewsbury's pre-season campaign with a foot injury. Hibbert told BBC Radio Shropshire: "You always worry when you're not playing. There were many doubters and it felt like only my family stuck by me." Hibbert was a surprise inclusion on the first day of the season, but his form has made him a first pick in the side. "I never doubted myself. I just worked extra hard to prove my critics wrong," he added. Hibbert has scored six times, including one in each of the last three games and is looking to break a personal record at Lincoln this weekend. "I've never gone past three in three before, so hopefully I can continue my good run and make it four in four on Saturday."
