Grandison out for Shrews
Jermaine Grandison will miss Shrewsbury`s trip to Bury on Friday night as manager Graham Turner looks for a positive response to Tuesday`s abject display at Oxford.
The on-loan Coventry full-back was forced off after just 11 minutes at the Kassam Stadium nursing a hamstring injury and will now miss the Gigg Lane clash and probably Tuesday`s encounter against Burton.
Dean Holden is set to replace Grandison, with Turner dismissing talk from the 31-year-old`s agent that he is set for a January move away from the Shropshire outfit.
The Town boss has a couple of unnamed players nursing tight muscles and a touch of stiffness but expects those affected to be okay in time for Friday evening.
Turner is looking for a big improvement after an unacceptable level of performance in the 3-1 defeat at Oxford and is considering tinkering with his line-up, although he admits he will not - and does not have the resources to - make wholesale changes.
