Exodus exits

Shrewsbury suffered a setback ahead of the visit of Cheltenham with the news on-loan defender Exodus Geohaghon has been forced to return to parent club Peterborough. Geohaghon sustained a knee injury in the 1-1 draw at Stevenage last month and only recently returned to training but, having subsequently had to pull out, further scans have discovered a cartilage tear which requires surgery. His loan was due to end in early January but the Posh centre-back is now facing several weeks on the sidelines. Shrews boss Graham Turner has also been hit by the news deadline-day loan signing Andrew Tutte will miss out against the Robins this weekend with a back problem, meaning his wait to make his debut continues. Midfielder Craig Disley also needs to see a hip specialist and will have to watch from the stands, while striker Kris Bright this week left the Greenhous Meadow by mutual consent. One piece of good news for Shrews is the return of winger Lionel Ainsworth who has missed the last three games due to a groin injury.
