Dobson given chance at Shrewsbury
The 25-year-old have previously played for Stevenage, MK Dons and Brentford and will come up against West Brom in a friendly on Wednesday night.
"We've got Craig Dobson who took part in the youth side's game at Bridgnorth," Simpson told his club's official website.
"He showed some good touches and I've been impressed with what I've seen from him."
