Debut duo help Shrews sink Shots

Louis Soares' 15-yard strike put Aldershot in front after four minutes and they should have been two-up with Scott Donnelly missing from close range. Waide Fairhurst, on loan from Doncaster, equalised on his debut with a neat finish from 15 yards and moments later David Winfield was sent off for head-butting Lewis Neal. The visitors then struggled with Shrewsbury's other debutant, Jamie Devitt, who put in a man-of-the-match performance. Neal curled a 20-yard free-kick into the top corner seconds before half-time and Hull loanee Devitt began a four-man move that ended with Nathan Elder tapping in the third on the hour.
