Bye-bye Obadeyi

Tope Obadeyi has returned to Bolton after Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner opted not to extend his loan stay at the Greenhous Meadow. The forward arrived in Shropshire in late October on an initial one-month deal before extending his stay until early January, but Turner has turned down the chance to keep him at the club for longer in favour of bolstering his squad elsewhere. The permanent capture of James Collins and Mark Wright on Friday will have played a part in his decision, as Turner told the club`s official website: "We have now got other options in the wide areas and forward positions so have good cover there. "We need to look at strengthening other areas of the squad and the work to do that will continue." Meanwhile, Turner has received upbeat news regarding captain Ian Sharps after he was forced off just before the half-hour mark in Saturday`s 3-1 home defeat to Morecambe. The influential defender is not expected to spend too long on the sidelines having been involved in a clash of heads which led to him receiving stitches to a mouth wound while also losing some teeth and sustaining damage to a crown. The club will know more after a full assessment to his mouth and jaw.
