Boss pessimistic over Daniels move
West Brom stopper Daniels spent three months on-loan at the Prostar Stadium and was the hero of the Shrews' Coca-Cola League Two play-off semi-final victory over Bury.
Simpson believes any small chance of him signing Daniels hinges on a possible change of management at West Brom, amid rumours that Baggies boss Tony Mowbray could be in line for the Celtic hotseat.
"West Brom want to keep Luke, but there are rumours about a change of manager," Simpson told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"It's something I'll keep my eye on - but while a return is unlikely, you just never know in football."
