Ashton hopes to draw on experience
The Shrews suffered heartbreak two years ago after losing to Bristol Rovers and defender Ashton, who was a member of Shrewsbury's team that day, believes the experience will stand them in good stead.
"Things seem a lot less hectic than they did last time and everyone seems to be a little bit more relaxed," Ashton told the club's official website.
"I guess that's because we've been there before and everyone knows the protocol and what will happen when we get there.
"Once the whistle goes you get into your groove and put everything outside the pitch to the back of your mind and get on with doing your job the best you can for your team."
