Ainsworth set for Shrews return

Shrewsbury will hope to welcome back Lionel Ainsworth against Stockport. The winger missed the 2-1 Carling Cup defeat to Stoke after picking up a groin strain in the Shrews' 1-1 draw with Aldershot last week, however the club expect him to be fit to travel to Edgeley Park. Matt Harrold could also return to the forward line after serving a one-game suspension following his sending off against the Shots. But defender Danny O'Donnell faces a month on the sidelines as he needs a hernia operation. Shane Cansdell-Sherriff is likely to continue to deputise for O'Donnell after impressing boss Graham Turner with his display in the narrow 2-1 defeat to Stoke. Kris Bright may come back into the squad after his recovery from illness but he is short of match fitness so is unlikely to start, while Nathan Elder (knee) remains a long-term injury victim with knee ligament damage.
