Ainsworth sends Shrews top

Lionel Ainsworth's early strike sent Shrewsbury to the top of the table as Rotherham were consigned to a 1-0 defeat. The Shrews took the lead just five minutes when Mat Sadler and Craig Disley combined on the left and Ainsworth was on hand to side-foot his first goal for the club from eight yards. Three times veteran goalkeeper Andy Warrington prevented further Town goals, but it was the home keeper Chris Neal who stole the show after that. Kevin Ellison had a goal disallowed for a foul on the Shrews keeper and then Neal pulled off a series of saves, twice from Adam Le Fondre and then from Paul Warne. Then an injury-time free-kick from Nicky Law was punched away by Neal to deny the Millers a point.
