Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of striker Francis Jeffers from Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old former Everton, Arsenal and Charlton Athletic frontman has signed a three-year deal at Hillsborough, having spent just one season with Rovers.

Manager Brian Laws told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to have secured a player of Francis Jeffers' calibre here at Hillsborough.

"Francis has spent most of his career in the Premier League because of the quality that he possesses and I believe he can be a regular scorer with us in the Championship.

"We've been looking to secure a top-quality striker over the summer and we certainly have that now, which is a really big boost for the club."
