Mayor moves to S6

Sheffield Wednesday have added to their squad on the eve of their Championship kick-off by signing young midfielder Danny Mayor from Preston North End.

Mayor, who came through the ranks at North End and made over 50 appearances for the club, has signed a 3-year contract at Hillsborough, moving to the Owls for an undisclosed fee.

The 6ft tall Lancashire lads preferred position is as a winger, giving Wednesday plenty of options in wide attacking areas alongside the likes of Michail Antonio, Jermaine Johnson and Mike Jones.
